I do really miss going in on this great activity that Natalie at Threads and Bobbins created over a year ago.
I started to join in and then lost steam. I love to follow everyone else and I have missed paticipating. I looked back through my weekly photos and I have only 5. So please forgive me, but I have got to start somewhere.
1 – We were on the road again last weekend checking on family in New Jersey. Our ride home thru Pennsyvania was beautiful with the later end of the Fall colors.
2 – We had a new roof installed on our house. The old one was shingled. This one is metal. I selected the color to be similar to the old color so it was more subtle. I am really pleased with how it turned out. Now it’s time to replace the gutters and paint the shutters.
3 – My favorite pasttime….I actually took this picture so I could have a record of the fiber content and the special instructions. I am currently planning to make a top for winter with this. 4 – One of my clients that I do sewing for has her art studio a few mile outside of town. Her studio is an old farm house that is an 1864 National Register of Historic Places. It’s such a beautiful setting. This is a picture of one of the barns and part of the panorama view.
5 – Our daughter works with a local catering company. She somethimes brings home flowers left over from an event. This arrangement was on our table this morning when we got up. Such beautiful Fall colors.
I am staying pretty busy these days working a temporary job 5 days per week. This should only last for one more week. Unless of course, they can find more things for me to do. I am really enjoying making regular money again and being around some really sweet and fun people. I am also teaching sewing classes two evenings per week. And of course, sewing for my client. Phew! It’s all good… Have a great week everyone. I have missed sharing with all of you.
It’s great to see your photos again…and 5 is fine; I only managed 5 last week! What a lovely luxury to have those flowers – they are gorgeous! Which top are you making with the fabric? I love the stripes 🙂
Thanks, Natalie. I haven’t really decided on a pattern yet. And I also got a similar stripe knit in green. My favorite top to make last winter was The Tee – Sewing Cake. I love the 3/4 length sleeve hack. I have already made one in white a few weeks ago. We’ll see.
Lovely to see you back–with 2 photos or 12! So much beautiful color in your pictures this week. The roof looks good and it’s always a nice feeling to get these things done before winter sets in. Enjoy that cozy-looking fabric and have a great week!
Thank you so much. I hope you have a good week too!
Your home is beautiful! Love the floral arrangement, always brightens the day, doesn’t it. That striped fabric is wonderful, I love a good stripe……(perhaps too much). Lovely photos!
Thank you. I’m learning to enjoy sewing stripes. It will be a fun project.
The flowers are stunning, and free! Yay! Welcome back!😀
